Frequently Asked Questions

Does my document need to be notarized before the apostille?

Some documents do. Florida vital records (birth/marriage/death) are certified by the county and do not need notarization. Private documents — powers of attorney, affidavits, corporate copies — must be notarized by a Florida notary before the state will apostille them.

How long does an apostille take?

Standard processing through Tallahassee is typically 7–10 business days; expedited courier service can shorten that. FBI authentications take longer. We'll give you a realistic timeline at intake.
